Back by popular demand, this 8-week Santa Cruz COE Community of Practice (CoP) is a place for educators and school leaders to deepen the social and emotional skills needed to teach and lead effectively, with purpose and joy.

We will engage with Dr. Lorea Martinez’ “Growing Your HEART Skills Course” to:
• Learn proven and research-based strategies to navigate stress and daily challenges
• Deepen your HEART skills for strengthening professional and personal relationships
• Connect with yourself and fellow educators

Facilitated by Santa Cruz COE SEL Team members, Suzanne Denham & Robyn McKeen, and Dr. Lorea Martínez, award-winning founder and author of Teaching with the HEART in Mind. Plan to devote about an hour each week to complete learning modules outside of the CoP. There are a limited number of spaces available for this CoP -registration is on a first come, first served basis. A $400 award is available to participants* who complete the course, attend at least 7 of 8 sessions, and share their learning with colleagues, as defined at the CoP.
